Provides guidance on allowable products for the Local Food Program.
This resource was created by our Department of Education, School Nutrition Unit. It provides examples as to what products are allowed to be purchased using Local Food Program Funds. The funds can be used to purchase Colorado grown, raised, or processed foods. This includes minimally processed products such as diced carrots and value-added products such as tortillas and baked goods. Those who participate in this program can only spend up 25% of their funds on value-added products.
