There are so many resources out there, it can be rather challenging to find the ones that are of interest to you. We are collecting websites and resources that are either commonly accessed by our agricultural producers or have solid content to reference. This list is not comprehensive and it is designed to be a “living resource” with new additions added as applicable. And while some of these websites and resources may not directly focus on Farm to School – they are designed to help you build, strengthen, and sustain your business.

  • National Farm to School Network partnered with USDA Food and Nutrition Services and the National Center for Appropriate Technology to create the Bringing the Farm to School Training Program. They have fantastic resources designed for producers and a mix of case studies as well. This is a deep dive, but worth it!
  • The Economics of Local Food – if you thought the website above was a deep dive, this goes even deeper! This website really focuses on ag and food enterprise viability, market dynamics and other key socio-economics metrics of local and regional food systems.
  • Colorado State University – Food Systems Institute – our own local Land Grant University has built a website that is chock-full of resources, toolkits, research papers, grants, training programs and more. Highly recommend checking out their website!
    • The Colorado Technical Assistance Database is part of a project led between CSU Food Systems Institute, Nourish CO, and the CO Food Systems Advisory Council. This Database is open source and will eventually be built into a navigable map!
  • Colorado Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association – yet another local organization designed to support our producers. You’ll find resources tied to labor, food safety, water, business development, and so much more.
